This course will give you basic knowledge of practical theology in general, and of some contexts in which it functions.|
The course is a mix of discussing literature and presenting of complimentary approaches to the practical theology.|
The course aims at a first overall approach of this theological discipline: its paradigms, themes, object, methods and objectives. The focus is the guidance of functioning of religion, viz., Christian faith in contemporary institutional and cultural contexts. It will be shown that different approaches exist, and which are the rational grounds for these options.
Participants are expected to be able to understand academic approaches to religion, theology and spiritual guidance.
