Aims

Your MSc program, Student Career Services and study association Asset | Accounting & Finance organize several events and workshops to prepare you for the job market. For example, every semester Career Services offers workshops and training courses for both the BSc and MSc programs within TiSEM. Next to this, there are also job consultation hours and many career events. 

After participation in the information sessions, workshops of Student Career Services and career events, you have improved your knowledge and skills needed in order to be well prepared for entering the labor market. You can reflect upon yourself in terms of qualities, pitfalls, values and interests in relation to the labor market and you will have a good idea about the career possibilities after graduation.

Career Portal

Discover relevant job vacancies, internships, career-events and career tips on the Tilburg University Career Portal. This platform is the central meeting point for students, alumni and companies. The Career Portal offers you the opportunity to:

  • Find more than 500 interesting internships, traineeships and entry-level positions

  • Register for career events, networking opportunities, training and workshops

  • Get inspired by career related articles, tips and tricks

  • Check out company profiles of potential employers

  • Schedule an appointment with the TiSEM Career Services Officers

Already more than 4000 students registered!
 

Training and workshops

Student Career Services offers several workshops to help you to prepare optimally for the labor market. 

For more information, costs and registration, please visit the career portal and click on the training / workshop of your interest at the event page! Additionally, you can participate in other workshops upon request via the portal, such as a job interview training or an application letter workshop.

Next to training courses and workshops Student Career Services also offers Generic Skills sessions aimed at application skills, presenting yourself or preparing you for large Career events at Tilburg University. These sessions are not obligatory but definitely recommended if you want to be well prepared for the next step in your (academic) career!
 

Consultation Hours & Career Guidance 

Throughout the year, it is possible to schedule an appointment with our TiSEM Career Services Officers or career coaches and trainers. 

  • Consultation hours: We can help you with specific questions regarding your CV, job interviews and the application procedure. 

  • Career Guidance: It is possible to receive more in-depth advice and tips on your future career during these personalized sessions.

Career events
Asset | Accounting & Finance is the study association for students studying BSc bedrijfseconomie, MSc Accountancy en MSc Finance.
During the academic year several career events are organized by the program management of your study program, Student Career Services and study association Asset | Accounting & Finance. These career events help students to orient and explore the job market. You can attend for example In-house days, company visits, information sessions and conferences.
 
The Economic Business Weeks and Tilburg Career Days are the largest annual events on campus and offer students the opportunity to get in contact with companies by means of company presentations, cases, business lunches and informal activities. Moreover, in preparation for these events training and workshops are offered to improve students’ application skills. The relevant career events and activities for Finance students are included in the schedule of this course: Please add ‘Career Development Finance MSc’ to MyTimeTable.

  • In order to make events and activities visible in your schedule, enroll and select for the “Career Development Finance MSc” course in MyTimeTable.

  • The Career Development activities are not mandatory and you do not obtain ECTS for these activities.
