- Explain the different aspects (structure, vocabulary, tone) of academic English.
- Implement the basic conventions of academic English in your own writing to communicate clearly and effectively.
Specifics
Attendance in classes is required. Academic English is connected to the course Transformations of the Public Sphere and you cannot pass that course without attending the Academic English classes.

Academic English is a specific type of English (in terms of vocabulary, types of text used, how the texts are organised, etc.) that you need in your studies, to be able to read and interpret your study materials and to be able to write about the subjects covered during your studies. The aim of this class is to learn the basics of academic English to develop your writing and communication skills. The classes are set up in the form of a workshop.
