By means of examples taken from Brabant history the students will be introduced in the study of the region's past and popluar culture. The focus will be on the interplay between the creation of an image of the Brabant past and the creation of the contemporary Brabant identity. The cousre also includes an overview of the history of (North-)Brabant from prehistoy to present.
