The purpose of this course is, first, to introduce students to academic research in Accounting. Research in Accounting examines the complex communication game between market participants and firms (Financial Accounting) as well as the complex communcation game between managers and employees (Managerial Accounting). The second aim is introduce the students to thesis research in Accounting, in particular to writing the MSc in Accountancy thesis file.
Specifics
This course is, obviously, related to the pre-master courses: 'Statistics' and 'Business Research Techniques'.

The course introduces the students to the academic research literature in Accounting: working papers and journal articles. In addition students carry out Accounting research writing themselves.
