A good strategy is essential for a company to gain a comparative advantage over competitors. Determining an optimal strategy is complex because the characteristics of the company, the industry as well as the general environment have to be taken into account. Changes in a company's internal and external environment can also change the optimal strategy. The optimal strategy is therefore a dynamic concept. Making an internal and external analysis of a company is a first important step in determining an optimal strategy. Many of the necessary elements for such analyses have already been covered in the first year of the Bachelor of Business Economics. In this course you will make an extensive internal and external analysis for an existing company in a team of max 4 students, in order to be able to give an advice that the future strategy of the company should take into account.
