18 ECTS have been allocated for the thesis, which represents (18*28 =) 504 hours, about 13 full weeks of work. You must complete this work within one semester, which represents 30 ECTS, i.e., 30*28 = 840 hours, or about 22 weeks. This calls for good planning.
The necessary elements of the thesis (motivation, research question, theory and literature, method, results, conclusions & discussion) imply a text that is preferably not lager than 35 pages in 12-point, with 1.5 line spacing, which means it consists of about 15,000 words, excluding literature and appendices.
