Aims
To gain knowledge and expertise in the following methods of analysis: Analysis of Contingency tables, Linear Regression Analysis and Logistic Regression Analysis. To be able to apply this knowledge on empirical data.
(Exact specifications of the learning objectives are available in Dutch).
Specifics
Students are advised to attend the tutorials. Attendance at SPSS-practicals is obligatory. Students are required to complete the assignments for the SPSS-practicals.
  • Their mark on the final examination is 6 or higher; AND
  • they've met the requirements of the SPSS-practicals.

Grading
The final grade is determined using the exam grade and the average tutorial grade. In three tutorials the student receives a test at the end of the tutorial. Each tutorial test is graded. The average tutorial grade is the average over all tutorials scores after deleting the lowest tutorial score. The final grade is determined as follows. If the exam grade is higher than the average tutorial grade, then the final grade equals the exam grade, else the final grade equals (3*exam grade + average tutorial grade)/4.
The tutorial grade is only valid in this academic year.
Recommended Prerequisites
Knowledge of descriptive and inferential statistics
