Aims
The objective of this course is to examine the role of supply chain processes in achieving sustainable development goals. At the end of this course, students should be able to understand how sustainable development dimensions are operationalised in the context of supply chain processes. The sustainable development dimensions that are discussed during this course include economical, environmental and societal, also commonly referred to as the Triple Bottom Line (3BL).
Content
This course provides students with knowledge on sustainable supply chain management and its related topics. Topics that are discussed during this course include:
  • Green product and service design
  • Sustainable sourcing and relationship governance
  • Cleaner production and waste management
  • Sustainable last-mile delivery
  • Closed-loop supply chains
  • Life cycle assessment
